Overview

During the night you drop into a whole new world. The scene changes as day creatures retire and nocturnal organisms emerge.

With the abundance of marine life in Musandam and the Fish ID specialty, you will find it easier to recognize which fish you see as you learn how to identify characteristics of local fish family and species. The dives which will be taken on board of a dhow sailing Musandam Oman. This trip will give the opportunity to discover an alien world right here on earth. Students will have also the chance to snorkel and kayak in the fjordlike inlets of the coastline.

The course consists of:

Knowledge development
Open water dives

In all our school programs, students learn also the importance of our ocean and how to preserve it. Students choose between different specialties like Sea Turtle Awareness or Shark Awareness and they are involved in class presentations and actual dives to learn more. The students will also achieve a specialty certification for the environmental conservation project they have undertaken during their program

Pre-requisites:

PADI Open Water diver
Must be at least 12 years old at the time the course starts
Must be medically fit

Divers Down is operating since 2001 and is the only PADI 5 Star CDC (Career Development Center) in the Middle East Run by full time European staff, we ensure the safest experience possible. Our school program is designed to allow students to participate in an ambitious project which help them develop their Creativity, Action and Service skills for their Curriculum Vitae and personal growth improving team building skills, character and personal development. Students get also involved in marine conservation projects with presentation and dives to get an extra PADI specialty in Shark awareness, Dive Against Debris or Coral reef conservation.
